Flexible Part-Time Enterprise Software Windows Sys Admin

Type: Permanent

Hours: Part Time

Salary: n/a

Our Value-Added Reseller client is seeking a competent, experienced, Windows platform administrator to perform installations / deployments of a market-leading enterprise document management and workflow system into local customer sites.

The time involved will be variable as deployments are driven by new sales and upgrades.

Some of the work will be out of hours depending upon the needs of the customers.

The primary skills required are:

Windows Server & Client Administration

Basic MS SQL Server Administration

Basic IIS Webserver Administration

MS Exchange, Outlook and Office integration (inc Office 365)

Some Systems Analysis experience would be advantageous in configuring integration of the product with customers existing IT systems.

Some Business Analysis experience would be advantageous in tweaking workflow settings in the product as part of the deployment process.

The enterprise system may be deployed on-premise (or local datacentre), in the Microsoft Azure cloud, or as a hybrid of both.

Suitable candidates will have a mature, pragmatic, flexible, self-reliant "can do" approach, and will be personally presentable and comfortable in a customer-facing technical role.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake approximately ten days (paid) of product training, mostly distance learning but including three days of off-island training.

The overall time commitment is unspecified, "as and when required", to be negotiated with the employer and dependent upon sales growth, but is unlikely to exceed half-time.

The role is likely to suit an experienced and professional IT systems administrator who has ceased full-time working but would still like to use their accumulated skills on a more flexible basis.
